About palmistry
Palmistry International is committed in its promotion of the value and benefits of modern hand analysis in a society where even today, palmistry remains under a rather mystical umbrella!  With palmistry being so widely and seriously researched over the last hundred years or so, why does palmistry continue to conjure up pictures of fairgrounds, tents, and fortune telling?   More >>>

What is palmistry
The word palmistry is a general term, widely used to describe the specialist study and practice of hand reading.  However, the term palmistry, also known as palm reading and cheiromancy, (chiromancy) actually consists only of the divinatory practice of reading and translating the lines in the palms.  For many years palmistry, or fortune telling through the art of interpreting the lines in the palms, was the only aspect of hand reading in existence. More >>>

The hand reader and personal beliefs
Does a hand reader’s interpretation of the various features found in the hands differ depending on his own personal belief system?
The hand reader’s religious or spiritual beliefs, or lack of, should actually make no difference whatsoever to his basic understanding and interpretation of any one particular hand feature.  More >>>

Our changing lines
The lines in our palms can, and do, change over a period of time, often when life circumstances alter. The prints below are sections of the same hand, taken ten years apart. The first prints were taken in 1993, at a time when this woman's life was undergoing some very stressful changes.  More >>>

Line defects
The lines in the palms can be considered as rivers of energy, with the deeper, more strongly etched lines reflecting the wide, steady, slow moving river, and the finer, more brittle lines in the palms reflecting the faster flowing, shallower streams and brooks.  More >>>

Lines in the palms
When the analyst looks into your palms, one of the things he or she will quickly scan are the palm lines. This is one area of hand reading that really tests the skills of the reader, because no two hands are ever alike. If you look into your own hands, you will see that the lines differ in each hand. Some people have huge variations in these lines whereas other people may have only slight variations that are barely noticeable.  More >>>

Changes in direction
The lines within the palms are the places to look when considering changes in direction, and in palmistry are frequently seen by complete breaks or overlapping breaks within the main lines. In general a complete break, where there is a gap in the line itself, reveals some kind of unexpected change, where the change may be outside the person’s control.  More >>>

What the palmist is looking for
To the trained and skilful hand reader, the minute you turn your hands over to display your palms, you are allowing the hand reader instant access into your private self! It's almost like opening your private cupboards at home to a stranger. More >>>

Loss of Direction
Many people contact a palmist when life has reached a crossroads, or when a problem suddenly hits, such as the loss of a job or direction. Losing a job, one’s financial security and purpose can be very hard to cope with, and at a loss to know what to do, and sinking into depression, we wonder if all is lost, if everything we have ever built up is ever going to be replaced.  More >>>
